The Corbara tomato, also called "Corbarino", is born on the slopes of the Lattari Mountains - an area immersed in the Agro-Nocerino-Sarnese, in the province of Salerno - where the municipality of Corbara is located and on whose hills it is cultivated.
The typicality of this product is the low acidity and a high sugar content that makes it valuable and tasty.
With an intense red color and elongated shape tending to pear-shaped, the transformed product is represented by whole, unpeeled tomatoes, immersed in juice obtained from the same tomatoes.
It is particularly suitable for preparing, even in winter, tasty typical tomato-based dishes, such as the tasty Neapolitan recipe of "fujute clams".
