Paccheri Rigati are typical of Campania, they derive from the Neapolitan dialect term "paccarià", which means "slap", probably in reference to their large and robust consistency. This pasta is also widespread in other regions with different names. Ideal for dry pasta, Paccheri Rigati are recommended with rich and full-bodied meat ragù, such as Neapolitan ragù, which penetrates perfectly into the pasta for an intense flavour. They can also be enjoyed in baked pies, enriched with cheeses and tomato sauce, or with delicious fish sauces.
