Cantina Del Taburno Wine DELIUS D.O.C.G red

DELIUS D.O.C.G is a red wine of great character produced by Cantina del Taburno, made with 100% Aglianico del Taburno grapes, grown on hilly terrain at 350 meters above sea level, facing south-east. These calcareous clay marl soils help give the wine a complex structure and a rich organoleptic profile. The harvest, carried out by hand in the first ten days of November, ensures that the grapes are harvested at their maximum level of ripeness. The vinification involves a long maceration of 30 days and a 12-month refinement in new oak barriques, which give the wine a notable intensity and complexity. The color is deep ruby red, while the nose perceives aromas of black cherry, ripe plum and licorice, with an aromatic background of tobacco and black pepper. On the palate, DELIUS is dense and well-balanced, with soft tannins and a persistent taste. This wine is perfect to accompany rich meat dishes, such as braised meats, stews and roasts, and should be served at the ideal temperature of 16-18°C to best enhance its characteristics.
