Cellars Moio Red Gaurano Wine

Gaurano Rosso by Cantine Moio is a wine with great personality, obtained from a careful selection of slightly overripe grapes grown on sandy and volcanic soils. With a planting density of 4000 vines per hectare and a yield of 1.6 kg per vine, cultivation is done with the simple horizontal espalier system and Guyot pruning. Manual harvesting takes place in small 18 kg crates, ensuring maximum care of the bunches. Vinification involves maceration for 10-15 days at 28-30°C, with daily pumping over to extract the best from the grapes. After fermentation, the wine is aged for approximately 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels, thus developing extraordinary complexity and depth. Gaurano stands out for its ruby red color and intense aroma that recalls red berries. On the palate, it offers excellent balance with a spicy finish, making it ideal for those who appreciate rich and structured wines.
