Taurasi D.O.C.G. by Feudi di San Gregorio is a refined expression of Aglianico, the prince of Campania grape varieties. The winemaking process involves fermentation and maceration in steel tanks for approximately 3 weeks, followed by maturation for 18 months in medium-toasted French oak barriques. The wine is then refined in the bottle for 9 months, achieving a perfect balance between intensity and softness. When visually examined, the wine has a bright ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, intense and fragrant aromas of sour cherry and marasca cherry emerge, enriched by spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg, vanilla and anise. On the palate, Taurasi is full and well-balanced, with sweet and soft tannins that contribute to a long aromatic persistence. This wine is the ideal accompaniment for large roasts of red meat, noble poultry and braised in Aglianico, enhancing the robust and complex flavors of these dishes. To appreciate it at its best, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature of 18-20°C.
