Serpico Rosso, produced by Feudi di San Gregorio, is an Irpinia Aglianico DOC wine that represents the soul of Campania viticulture. The grapes come from the historic "Dal Re" vineyard, in the heart of the Taurasi area, where centuries-old vines produce bunches that contain timeless emotions. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration take place in steel tanks for about 3-4 weeks, followed by maturation for at least 18 months in French oak barriques and 50 hl medium-toasted barrels. The wine is then refined for a minimum of 12 months in the bottle. Serpico has an intense ruby red color and a complex bouquet that ranges from cherry jam to sweet spices, licorice, coffee and cocoa. On the palate, it is balanced, with a marked minerality and great persistence. This wine is ideal for accompanying roast red meats, noble poultry, game and mature cheeses. Serve at the ideal temperature of 18-20°C to best appreciate all its nuances.
