Grottone is a stretched curd cheese from the Matese Regional Park, enriched with propionic bacteria for a sweet flavor and characteristic aroma. Its maturing for at least 2 months takes place in rooms that recreate the climate of tuff caves. Excellent to enjoy alone or combined with white wines from Campania such as Falanghina and Fiano, and perfect with black pork and black cherry and plum jams.
